Ok so my sunroof will not open all the way

It will pop up and slide about 3 inches back and stop

How do i fix this?

could be something stuck in the track?.....when its closed can u see anything (flahlight or something might be useful) that it may be?....also, could it not be sliding back perfectly straight?,is it oem or aftermarket?

Mine in the 95 is doing that also, but I just have not had the time to look into it. Let me know if you do end up finding out what is wrong with it.

its oem and i havent had time to look into it yet cause it just happened on the way to work this morning but when i went out to look at it during my lunch hour and it opened up fine so i dunno whats goin on

when there's too much load on the sunroof motor it stops, the motor thinks it's at the end or jammed. Try putting the sunroof in the vent position, grab one of the corners at the back of the glass..pull it towards the front of the car(don't go hulk on it though)..while holding try and open it all the way but keep holding. It should work if done right, and open all the way..none the less if it stops 3 or so inches back without holding like you said..your tracks are broken/bent/damaged. You won't hear any noises..it'll act like its totally normal but stops to soon
