Fiberglass won't adhere to the urethane and the older style lights are too small. Do you care for the 03-05 style head lights? They make a type-j for that as well. You'd just need a new hood, lights and wiring goodness. Pretty much the same other wise with trimmin the fender bracket off.

don't like the 03 style either .i find the lights are just to big.i like the smaller 95-99 lights.i guess i'll just hafta find another kit.

there is a guy on cardomain that left a message in my guestbook.. didnt like the look but it was pretty clever idea to keep 95-99 headlights with the typej front.. So it might help you..

Hope he doesnt mind

If you look, you can see he made some sort of "bar" to go under the headlights, it also has a lil chevy emblem in it.. and the next thing is.. since the type j doesnt have spot for bumper lenses he actually made that bar a light.. the chevy emblem lights up. Like i said i dont think it looks great just cuz it is 95-99 headlights but it was a clever idea and i think he did well with it.

here is his cardomain site, http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2377893/2

its weird seeing the 95-99 lights on there and cuz the car is black and the peice is black it makes it hard for it not to look like there is a gap there but i think the guy pulled it off good.

Manta I have no problem with you using my pics. Little disappointed you bet me too it through. I know most of you guys hate that style headlight but i want to be the "maybe" the first to have the jbody kit without the headlight conversion. It's all made out of metal. The chevy emblem is the turn signal just like manta said. Trevor if you do this i would love the see how it turns out and if you have any questions about it just ask.
