make a hidden button somewhere on the vehicle to unlock if needed. like behind the pinch weld or something.

otherwise there is that thing where you touch a certain spot of the car and it will either unlock or open the door, depending on what you have set up.

i'm baaaaack!!

what i think he is asking is if the battery dies! is there a way to rig up a cable to unlock the door.

Or you could just hook up a second battery for the locking system.

I would just splice into the power door lock switch, and hide a button under the car somewhere, just incase the battery dies.

If it's the car battery or solenoid that you are worried about though, I can't think of a way to rig up a cable system to unlock it.

At that point, I'd just call AAA to have them break into your car.

You can probably rig a 12v+ system and have a battery terminal under the car... use a set of jumper cables to pop the lock.

yea the idea of a cable was what i was thinkin about cuz of a mechincal failure is what im worried about. even the battery dying is a good point too. wait dont you have to be in the car to jump start it? How about this idea... Hook another cable to the stock hood cable and run it down into the fender well so that if the battery does die i can just reach behind the tire and pop the hood.
