I followed the write up that Brian Anderson wrote on disabling DRL's for my 03 Cavalier exactly, but now the defroster on the rear window doesnt work! has this happened to anyone? does anyone have any idea how that might have happened? or how to fix it? any help would be greatly appreciated!

hey man, im brian anderson....talk to arjnolt. he is the one that did it. i have a 99 and just used his pictures and write up for my sticky. im sure someone will chime in. i dont think that the wire for that is down there so i dobut you cut the wrong on. is it still connected back there? mine came unsoldered once....sorry i cant help more though.

sounds like an unrelated problem... your defroster shouldnt be associated with your DRLs. i dont know if its different on the 03s (tho i dont see how it could be), but on my 02, all you had to do was splice the DRL wire in the bcm and ground it. not sure how you couldnt possibly mess that up to the point that the rear defroster wouldnt work. check your fuses, maybe. otherwise its an unrelated issue.

Thanks guys, yeah I kinda thought it would be unrelated, just thought it was odd that it happened at the same time! I'll check the fuses when my car is back from the garage...my tire got slashed .
