Has anyone tried NIGHTSHADE on headlights? How much would it effect the brightness? Your thoughts?

I think on the headlights it would not be a good idea; i dont think the light out put would be all that great, and someone posted under the night shades on tail light thread that night shades on any other lights besides the tail light, the light comes out looking purple, like the old school black tint; and thats pretty gross looking, lol
But i never tried it; it may look sweet as hell; would like to see how it turns out if you decide to try it.

id just go with headlight covers if youre wanting the look. i cant imagine having black tint on your lights would ever be a good idea. at least the covers can be removed for normal driving

headlight covers FTW. believe me man, you do not want to do this unless you dont drive it normally.

the nightshades must have some kind of red filament or something added to the black to make the red shine through easier on the tail lights, because, like was said above... i tried many different colors on my bumber turn signal lights that i had sprayed with nightshades and the light always came through a purple color, and not too bright at all anyway.

i do however think the nightshades would look bad ass on the headlights, but i think the covers would look even better... they give the car a more aerodynamic look like the headlights are shaved IMO. NS on them wouldnt give that same look.

you can buy clear headlight covers and tint those how u want if u think black ones are to dark.. then just take em off when u need ur light output..

i dunno if anyone makes clear headlight covers for 04.. but i just bought some from RKsport for my 00 headlights.. Check www.summitracing.com they usally have headlight covers for bout 50bucks shipped.. can usally get clear, black, or maybe carbon fiber look.. but again like i said.. i dont know if they make em for 04s..

It is alittle to dark for headlights.

I have the nightshades spray on my headlights. Just remember that spray coatings, even clear coated are far more prone to fade and chipping when in an environment of constant debris. Dust, sand, rocks, salt.. etc. Mine have since gone slightly duller in their finish, everytime I wash my car I put a plastic gloss protectant on them to bring back the shine. As for light output, with Sylvannia SilverStar headlight bulbs, I have no issues.

Ghetto alternative to black projectors. I'm trying to hunt down the infamous 1 piece projector headlights for the '95-'99s..
