Would I be able to just take my sunroof motor apart then attach a manual thing on it or what would I need to do. Haven't done it before and want to know what im walking into.

I want to share something with you - the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, 'cover for me', Number two, 'oh, good idea, boss', Number three, 'it was like that when I got here.'

not sure how...but maybe you could look into making a fiberglass panel for the track too?

dood, if your that seriously and worried about the weight, go ahead and ditch it completly and make either a carbon fiber or a fiberglass or even a steel delete peice to go in the roof in place of it.

ps, a good "small" weight savings... drill the bumper supports like swiss cheese, they're still strong..although, probly not strong enough to do their job anymore-so use with caution.

also... if you dont have anyone riding in the back seat...ditch all the seat belts back there, also...ditch the rear seat back(its like 35 lbs i swear, its made outta a flat peice of steel)

all of these weight reductions might equal 75lbs if your lucky, but hey..like u said...every little bit helps right?

oh yeah the back seats are comin out in the spring along with everything in the trunk, even the carpet lol. ill rip out the sunroof and if the motor doesn't weight anything ill keep it. ill find out everything when it happens. lol

Honestly, how much do you expect a sunroof motor to weigh?

The stupidity here never ceases to amaze me.

convert to manual? find harness to mototr of sunroof....cut end of extension cord.....plug in extension cord...plug harness into extention cord.....done

seriously having the sunroof to ebgin with adds weight to the car from bracing....i would work on other stuff before you go tackling that

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
