Well the other day some dumb ass backed into me so I have 2000 dollars to fix my car so I thought maybe it would be easier to just find parts and put them on myself. So does anyone have any sites that I could find these parts.

I dont need brand new ones just replacements and have to be blue for an 04 Cavalier

all have aftermarket hoods and front body kit if u rather go that way.. 2grand is def a chunk u can get alot out of.
how hard did he hit you? if there are no tears in the bumper cover it can be sanded down and repainted.
like manta z said. car-part.com. i find it is the best site for used parts, you can search by price, distance, even condition.
my suggestion when you call wrecking yards. lets say they have a blue hood off a 2005 cavalier the price listed is $500. that is there top price, you CAN and should haggle with them for a better deal. you could probably get that hood for $350-$400.

ok im not sure where in Ohio you are but these are the best parts IMO that i found on car part. com for you.
i can not find any parts listed in arrival blue (2003-2005 blue) but heres the parts. you will need paint but with parts and paint you will still have cash left. $500 for parts say $500 for paint(probably less) you still have $1000 to spend on shiny things.

now there are cheaper parts out there i.e. fender for $65 but it will be B or C cond. which means it has damage, "B" could be a door ding. but "C" is usually damage that needs to be repaired by a shop IMO "C" parts are scrap.
the parts i chose are based on condition and quality, and partially on price. IMO a mint fender for $100 is alot better then a $60 fender that looks like @!#$.

if youve got any local junkers around you, hit them up. a u pull it will be even cheaper. or like manta mentioned, you can get a full aftermarket kit and hood with paint for that much money.....just a thought.

Thanks alot those are alot of places I'll have to check out. I dont want to take to a body shop because I think I can get parts and install them for cheaper than the body shop doing body repair...est: 1,900$. So I was hoping to spend about a thousand to fix car a put other thousand towards new paint job for my contour SVT. Just a thought...
check to see if u hava a certifit locally. i got a brand new fender for 20, and headlight for 50. they have hoods for around 50 too.

As long as the car has only cosmetic damage then cool. Your thinking is right on. If it has more then cosmetic damage then you might just dig yourself into a bigger hole. But I hope you have good luck with the whole thing man.
