1) for you who have put HIDs in their 00+ Cavaliers and 95-02 Sunfires (9007 headlight) am I correct in understanding that you can only use low beam, which is fine because thats what I use 90-95% of the time anyway?
2) would I have to disable the DRLs before I hook the HIDs up? Ive seen somewhere of a kit you can use to have the parking lights come on as opposed to the headlights.

great thanks Machzel08, how much brighter are the HIDs? I am working retrofitting the internal reflector off of a 2000-2002 Cavalier to try and fit my spare set of 'Fire headlights, if that doesnt work, I'll be going with HIDs, recommendations? Price is no problem because you know what they say, you get what you pay for.
Very bright....look at any site they usually give comparison. You can buy them from izntrbl (google it) or ebay if you feel safe. for 9007 sockets its pretty easy to wire up the relay. 8000k is usually a good color. Just keep in mind how many people you will be blinding.
one other thing: if you dont know how much brighter HIDs can be, why do you want them?

my haedlight output basically sucks, even with Silverstar bulbs, just would like to light up the road more, just have to aim the lights a little lower as to not blind too many people
Check these out izntrbl, there's a link on my profile page, but it's not really recommended that you use HID's in the stock casings.
