Toyo tail questions
Tuesday, March 06, 2007 3:28 PM
I've searched but havent found exactly what Im looking for, since there is so many posts, so if someone could answer the question or send me in the right direction I would appreciate it alot. Now to the question....Im looking to get some 00+ toyo tails for my cavy, are they plug and play, or what all do I need to get them to work, I dont necessarily need the amber corners to work, but everything else like stop, tails, reverse. Thank you in advance for anything.

no they are not plug and play...

But the wiring is pretty simple. Just make sure they come with the harness.

If you want to keep the break light and the turn signal the same as they are in your car now then they are plug and play. If you want the turn signal and the brake light to be different then you need to rewire them and it is very easey.

no offense, but if you don't have the amber corners working, its not gonna look pretty at all. The only ways these look good in action, is if they are functioning as they are supposed to be. That means, the Amber signals flash when they are supposed to, and the brake lights/marker lights are on by them selfs.

Leaving the wiring alone, is just going to look kinda dumb at a red light. You'll have the amber lenses not even on, and it'll look so incomplete. Just take the 1/2 hour to wire these up correctly. Its not hard. Any average Joe can do it.
