Jam Straight LED's

Has anybody used the Jam Straight red LED 3157 bulbs in the APC clear taillights. I've got red bulbs right now, and they don't seem that bright. The package for the LED's say they might or might not need the load equalizers. I just need to know if these things are visible during the day, and if they work well. Also, if anybody has them, do they need the load equalizers?

Generally you can't see LED tail lights in the day. Not aftermarket ones anyway. I had to drive behind my wife in a moving truck and she was in my car. I couldn't tell when she was braking until I was all up on her tail. Load equalizers are just resistors wired inline on the turn signal wire. If you don't have enough of a load across the turn signal relay then you get "hyper blink". Your turn signal will blink about 4x faster, extremely annoying. You can either get the "load equalizers" or goto your local auto parts store and get a new turn signal relay, only special thing is that it must be electronic. It ends up cheaper if you go that latter route.

Now if these LED's you're looking at have like 10 Luxeon 3W LED's, then yea you could see those in the day. But they're REALLY expensive.

What about the spider lights? Has anybody got those in their clear tails?
