Hey, i have a 98 sunfire sedan, it has the oem bezel on the trunk lid, i am now putting on the cf bezel and cavy tails, i had my oem bezel color matched a few years back, well when i took it off there is over spray of the clear and a bit of paint; basically clear that will show with the new bezel being smaller and all; so i was just wondering how to remove this over spray on the clear without damaging the paint..
Sand paper, rear fine grit, or buffing compound?
Please help
Thanks

Use a clay bar, those thgins work wonders. Just be sure to use the lubricant with the bar.

meguiars, mothers, and clay magic all make them. i prefer the meguiars just for the fact you get two clay bars in the kit
So far so good, i did beleow the bezel so far and you guys are right, clay bars work magic, i am very impressed, at first it was doing nothing, then boom, magic took over, lol
I bought the mothers kit which you get the bar, show time detailer, and a little bottle of the canuba wax.
I still have the top part of the trunk to do, the clear is very thick there.
Thanks

Clay bar did wonders on the bottom part where the bezel was, now the outline of the bezel on the top part of the trunk is VERY stubburon, will notcome off, thick clear coat out line.
Maby my clar bar is no more good, too dirty?
Any thinh else i can use to take the clear off?

Used the clay bar some more, lots of scrubbing with the show time spray that you use with the clay bar, and then some nufinish polish, 8 hours of work to get the overspray of clear and paint off that was in the outline shape of the entire back trunk oem bezel, what a mess; i wish i had taken pics before i started........... done now thanks god, siliconed the holes, now i just have to install bezel, then tails.....
