Still doing that same project with the bumper I took out the plastic grill that was in the bumper and wanted to know what kind of adhesive would the mesh to the plastic or whatever the bumper is made of? Anyone have ideas or has done this themselves?

How permanent do you want it to be?
For temporary (like a year or so) I have had good luck with hot glue.
For a more permanent fix I would use a two part epoxy from the auto parts store. I believe locktite makes a good one.

I used automotive shoe goo and some clamps.

First I get some L brackets, some 2-Ton 5 Minute Glue (a two part epoxy ) & some Zip-Ties.
Glue the brackets on the inside of the bumper at an angle that allows you to Zip-Tie
the mesh to the brackets. That way, if you need to pull the mesh out later to replace or
repaint it, it's not as hard to remove it.
