Nice. I just bought the exact same car. Mine is the darker Metallic Blue though. Ive got a load of mods to do on it (Kit arrived today!!), but I should be posting pictures of mine by mid May. What are you paying for insurance? Mine only jumped $40CDN/Month from my '95.
Well I'm only 18, and I live in NY, so I pay out the ass for insurance... it's about $300/m for me just for basic insurance so it's quite bad, plus this is my first car...

Its just not you with the high insurance. When I first bought my 05, I was 19. My insurance was $405 down, and $207 a month for 10-months. The reason for being is cause I was young, it was new, and it was a "sporty car" (I still question that). The 2nd year I had insurance on it, the payments dropped down to $200 down, and $162 a month, and now that I'm over 21 and my driving record is flawless (always has been), now its $110 down and $115 a month. Yea . . . Needless to say, they like to anally rape anyone who is under 25 that needs insurance, and yet companies and te state wonder why so many drive uninsured.
That is a nice looking Cavy. Its stock . . ., but I really like the color. I don't think I've seen a Cavy yet with that color?? Is that a factory paint, or did they have it painted aftermarket?
its arrival blue painted from the factory.for insurance for me im only paying about 1200 a year and im 17.

Yeah it's the factory color.... unless the elderly man who owned it previously didn't like it red or whatever.... and I'm gonna be paying about $2600 a year for insurance, with a $1000 deductible, so it's not cheap... and yeah it's stock, I've only had it a couple of days, and I'm too broke because of the insurance to get anything at this time, so I'm working on it....
Thanks for the replies guys!

who gives a @!#$ that you have so much done to your car. most people dont have money to do stuff to there car when they first get it. he just wants to show people that he just got a cav and that he is happy about it.

$2600 a year for insurance with a $1000 deductable?! Boy, what did you do to your driving record?? I got quoted for about $1800 a year with a $500 deductable for a Cobalt SS/SC. Do you have previous accidents and what not?

No accidents or anything, it's just the fact that I'm 18, and just now starting out.... plus I haven't taken Drivers Ed, but I do have the safety course.... so I don't know the deal with the assload amount of insurance...
And I'm in CNY, a smaller town exactly in between Syracuse and Utica.
