Someone cracked my tail lamps on my 05 cavalier. If I buy 02 carbon fiber taillights, could I just keep the stock bezel and replace the side lights with the ones that come with the 02?
you can do it, but the 95-02 tails will sit in further than the bezel since the bezel on the trunk is "raised" outward for lack of a better term
& they won't match, but it's your ride...

yea u should have no propblems to put the carbon cuz it happen the same exactly thing to me my friend crash in to me form the back and broke my tail lights but what i did was went to the junk yard and stole some tail lights from a 02 cavalier ((corner lights)) just in case they didn't fit i wouldn't be complaining that i bought them u know lol but they fit perfect the only thing its that u can't put the corner light but thats nothing.
^^^to follow up on that, he means in the 03-05's there is a smaller corner bulb that wasnt on the 95-02's. so for those just pull the bulb out of the socket and tuck the little harness back
What do the corner bulbs do? are they important or do you really don't need them. I have a black car so i'm going to get 02 carbon fiber tails. replace the two side lamps and take the big chevy bowtie off the trunk bezel. You guy's don't think that would look good? Carbon tails on a black car with a solid red bezel.

02 tails will sit more flush then the 03-05 tails do , i went through this before i got a deck lid off a 95-02 cav so that i could use the 95-02 inner tails , it looked funny cuz of the black tail and the red center section. i dont have the pic of my 03 when i had just the outers and the 03 lid or id post it
