Do these manuals cover the convertible tops as well?
Chiltons does, dunno about the Haynes though. Neither is gonna be very detailed. helminc.com, or eBay for the helm ones. My Helm books are each at least twice as thick as the Chilton manual I have, and the Chilton I have supposedly covers 95-00 cars. The Helm guides are made year-specific and cover bumper to bumper, and roof to wheels. On these cars theres a 3rd manual thats not often seen on eBay thats dedicated to tranny repair/diagnosis, but all 3 come together from Helm.
THE best printed resource for convertible top maintenance/repair/replacement for 3rd gen Cav or Sunfire verts is the 1997 GM J-Body convertible supplement. It includes an entire chapter on top replacement that goes into numbing detail on every single phase with dozens of illustrations. GM also published a later supplement solely on convertible top leak repair, and a related training video.
I have all three of these and have found them to be invaluable.
All appear on eBay regularly.
