I am looking for a set of the 95-99 "CLEAR" apc outer tails like what Jason on Aplusperformance used to have..... does anyone still sell them?
might find a set of ebay. also i know there are a few members on here that will prolly chime in. saying they have a set for sale cuz last time these tails were asked about i beleive atleast 2 said they had a set they might sell..

ebays your best bet. i picked up a set last year from procarparts.com off ebay for $16 shipped. jason at APlus may also have a set left too. last i saw he was asking the $99 for it.

yeah, those are the ones that I am looking for.
I looked on ebay this morning and couldn't come up with anything. I may give Jason a call this afternoon to see if he still has a set or not.

O.K., I'm not trying to be the killjoy, but a heads up: use these at your own risk,
because they are not street legal anywhere in the U.S. .
In 2000, the NHTSA made APC recall them because they are illegal under DOT rules, specifically Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard #108 which states a rear tail must meet SAE standards, which include a
red side reflex reflector, example of "legal" and "illegal" tails with and without that reflex reflector are in the link below).

The DOT subsequently communicated concerns about clear tails to the law enforcement entities nationwide, so anyone driving with these runs the risk of being pulled over and ticketed (I know they wouldn't even pass inspection where I live, the stations that do them here are all well aware of the NHTSA rules concerning tails).
