Anybody know the easiest/cheapest way to get my taillights tinted? Or could somebody point me in the right direction?

Crap, how did I forget about Jason at A+. He's the one I got my VHT from! Amazing seller.
Tinting is hard for a beginner, especially if you dont know how to clear coat.. I tint tails $90 bucks off for cgp members maybe I can start tinting for you guys.. Not yet though I have too many on my hands If anyone’s interested pm me and i'll let ya know when i get the time..
Heres my grand prix after i tinted the tails:
I think it’s a MUST on anycar
Tinting is not hard to do. It also shouldn't cost $90 to do, not at all.
Joe, you can PM me if you'd like more help.
jonstintedtails.com is tinting grand prix taillights for $140 bucks + shipping both ways.. I usually charge $70 and everyone loved the price

Still, when it is about 11 bucks a can for VHT and a clear coat for about the same. Really all you have to do is paint evenly, let it dry in between coats if you want. Key is not to rush to ensure a nice even coat and avoid runs. Finish off with a bit of sanding with high grit and clear and you are good to go. Personally one can of each is plenty unless you want real and I mean real dark tails. 70, 90, even 140 bucks is a bit much like Alexis said. I will say if no one wants to do it themselves, fine, you are doing the job and have the right to charge and shipping is about 20-30 bucks max to ship for a 5 - 10 lbs. box through UPS at next day rates. But Joe can do it a lot cheaper if he is willing to try it out.
I tinted my tails and sent them off to a body shop to get clear coated from a gun. I got it done for free since my friend worked there and just sent my tails in with another car getting painted. I strongly doubt that any shop will charge you anything as outrageous as $70 to toss them in there with another car. Hell, tell them they don't even need to wetsand, you'll do it yourself.
i tinted my own tails.and it was one of the easiest mods that ive done.
noob ? but can you do this on headlights as well...search for tinting headlights but nothing came up
"sometimes the respect is more important..."
the spray tint has a red tint to it also.so i wouldnt recommend it for headlights.
Do NOT spray your headlights. Not only is it illegal, but the light output will be terrible and purple. They offer covers for sunfire headlights, just make sure you remove them each night.
wrong, the light output wouldnt be 'terrible' just not as good as it would be without it.
Our headlights suck for output as is, tinting them would make the light put worse, dare I say terrible.
takes 20 bucks and a couple hours........even your grandma could do it
Niiiice. I think I'll go ask my g-ma if she could do it for me because I'm so busy lately. lol! Blaine your reply made me crack up in the middle of work, people were staring at me! THat was funny. Anyway thanks for all the help guys.
what about window tint my buddy did his taillights on his 06 si it looks great
z28guy(KGM BEOTCH)
window tint works too but i would assume its much harder to do....i havnt tinted my tails yet but i got a can of vht waiting to be used....just gonna get some clear coat and some sand paper....
Bull@!#$. Tinited headlights work fine, with SilverStar bulbs. Light output even with stock was better, since the clearcoat really shined and cleaned up the dull lenses.
can u bake the headlamps to get the yellow reflectors out
i think you do it at 150 degrees for 20 min then pull the head lamps aprt and tint the inside of it the put it
back in for 10 to let the glue heat back up then u stick them back togewther has anyone tried that in heere
we did it on my buddy's subaru
