I'm gonna be looking for a new cf hood here soon to spruce up the exterior of the car. I love the whole carbon fiber look so i'm gonna try to get it with my cavalier. The thing i hate the most is going to a website advertising a hood and saying actual product may vary? If i'm gonna spend over 500 dollars on a hood i wanna see the actual product? So if you've purchased a hood and have a photo of it i'd love to see it with the part number. I love all the vis hoods as long as they're the ones tehy show in there photos so if you have an actual photo lemme see. i know theres all kinds of hoods so if you have a photo list it with part numbers, please and thank you.

if you plan on buying a hood, look on a vendor's or manufacturer's site for pics. if they dont have a car specific picture and are just using a generic pic, email them. still dont like that, just check out he photos forum, thats where pics are supposed to be posted.
also, each company usually uses different part numbers for their own inventory purposes, so that really isnt going to help you much either.

you'll be hard pressed in finding a 100% carbon hood, but they are out there floating around.
i have a VIS oem style. IMO, one of the best quality cf hood's ive ever come across. although, its fiberglass with a layer of carbon laid over top, the weight isnt effected much, if any. id say i dropped around 20-25 lbs with the hood change. my hood doesnt move around in the wind and stays very firm and strong. the gel-coat comes very glossy and stays that way as long as you keep up with the waxing on it-and when i say keep up-i mean after every wash/rain and in general at least once a month.
i bought mine off of ebay, but be aware there's some knock-off's on there that arent the true VIS. if i were you id just go through VIS.

yeah i hear ya. sometimes this just isnt the case though.
i wanted to buy my jsp cf trunk lid from a-plus. i told jason i wanted it, but due to his impecible honestly and AWESOME customer service he told me HIMSELF he just couldnt beat www.summitracing.com on the lid. so i went through them for the purchase.

and that is the reason why you at least try .org companies like A+ and Karo first. both will be honest and tell you where to get the part...for cheaper if they cant do it themselves. these guys are really the best!
Vis Evo hood, ordered from Gravana Tuning. You can't go wrong if you order from them. Their customer service is excellent and their prices aren't too bad either.
