Did anyone have any trouble putting on an 03+ LS Sport rear bumper? Like did anybody have any gaps on the sides, because when I put mine on it seemed like it didn't fit. There is a little gap on the right side, it's mostly noticeable by the trunk....if try to stick your finger and feel the bottom of the trunk where it lines with the bumper and run it across you can feel the gap going towards the right side. This also makes the little flap (where the filler panel used to be, I have an 00-02') stick out.
I was wondering if anybody had this problem or any others that I can know about and how to fix it.
no more cavy...now 240 =]
I see a cool-air intake
It's got a NOS-fogger system and a T-4 turbo
I see an A.I.C. controller
It has direct port nitrous injection
Yeah, a stand-alone fuel management system
...Not a bad way to spend $10,000
yea i kno lol i was thinkin bout the pic thing while I went on my break. Idk tho cuz the way the bumper feels under the trunk, it feels lop sided.

DId you change your bumper brackets? I know when I changed my 03 rear bumper for a 00-02 the brackets were different which made the bumper not fit as well.

No I didn't changed my brackets, I thought it was fit directly.
Newayz here are the pix
You can see it fit tightly on the left side and as you go right it starts to gap
See how it sticks out a little, the left side doesn't do that.
So is there anyway to fix that?

The bracket behind the piece that sticks up, just below the taillight, should pull that in. It seemed to do the trick on mine.
Are you using the proper crush panel between the bumper cover and rebar? Or did you cut the 00-02 one to fit?

I have an 03 rear crush panel, GM22709691, $50 shipped
If your going from a 00 to a 03 style bumper youll need the brackets for the filler panel. And youll need to trim your bumper absorber for it to fit right. I just did my conversion a couple of weeks ago I'll see if I can look up the brackets #'s for you.
Under Construction
Thanx alot guys, really appreciate the help! I did not know that you had to get the brackets, i figured it was a direct fit from all the pictures I saw. And yes I did tri a bit of the bumper support to get it to fit right.
