Just trying to help out and get these made. Since everyone knows that nobody makes these you might not have noticed this post in the GP Forums.

Basicly if we can get interest in 10ea. '95-'02 and/or 10ea. '03-'05 these guy's will make them.

you'll get plenty of interest, you should mention you need 10 actual buyers.. not everyone to say they want one and disappear when ti comes time for $
Wish I had the money to pitch in for these. I'd really like to see them made.
Thanks for posting Gary. I was just about to make a post until I saw yours.
There's a couple issues that some people have brought up:
- different filler panels between the year range
- reverse lights on the 00-02 are on the bumper and on the filler panel on the 95-99 & 03-05
As far as I know the trunks are the same with the exception of the filler panels.
Ideally, the trunks should be designed as a ONE-PIECE (with a recessed area for the plate) for a CLEANER look.
What making it a 2 piece design?
Since the top part are the same, there would be one desing for that CF. To accomodate the different years, a CF filler panel for each 95-99, 00-02 and 03.
As for the reverse lights on the 95-99 and 03-05, can anyone tell me if they can be unscrewed from the filler panel or they actually part (as one-piece) of it?
If it can un-bolted, I can have the CF TEC design it where the trunks have the slots for the reverse lights to slide in, just like the inners on the Cavaliers.
To those that are interested, how would you guys want these done?
I think a trunklid that is universal between all 95-05 Sunfires would do a lot better. Would be a whole lot nicer if the buyer had the option of using either of the two filler panels.

They are integrated (at least the 95-99)

03-05 are integrated as well (at least I couldn't see a way to remove them from the filler panel).
thatd be cool for the fires... i dont think a cf trunk would look right with my metal flake paint job tho:-(
19sunfire99: you could always paint it to match.
I really like the idea of the one piece design it would look amazing...but..for the cause of thier business and basically making more moneyoff one mold they should just make the acual trunk and a seperate filler piece. that way we can use whatever we want and it will appeal to more people...ie..make one mold and need 10 people...versus make 2 molds and need 20..
i would actually rather have the filler piece.........in carbonfiber
Thanks for bringing that up. I've stopped looking at the posts since they haven't made them...till now
Keeping this at the top. I know there are more people that want these...

Have been on the list since day one, hoping for more interest!

I would be interested in one if they made them for my 00. But how could they make a universal with the filler peice Built in there? SInce 95-02 is one style of tail lights/bumper and 03-05 is different filler peice and tails/bumper.
If it was just the trunk lid I'd be interested.
Go to the GP link, page 3 about halfway down and put your name on the list for the Trunk lid without filler panel.
The faster we get people signed up that are willing to pay the faster they will get made.

i believe that the reverse light housings CAN be taken off of the filler!! i took them off when i painted my filler panel white.... and they went right back in with no issues!!
you have to pry on them because they are held in by glue or something...
now that would be a sweet option!....a one piece design that our reverse lights pop back in..
without the filler piece is how theyre gonna be sold??? i would prefer to have it... im def interested though
hop on in i've got a J
Back to the top. I figured this list would have filled up already with all the people that complained for so long about not having someone make them...
