spray booth in garage

i want to paint my cavy in the spring time. i'm going to build a spray booth out of PVC piping, plastic sheeting, box fans for venting, and furnace filters. i have two big garage bay doors. i have a heater in my basement with a pilot light. should i worry about the fumes igniting with the garage doors open and the venting facing the doors? thanks guys

Josh

ya man, be very careful about this stuff.....even a regular box fan without a sealed motor could ignite the fumes.

this was my whole ordeal earlier this year.

make sure you clean the floor really well and its a good idea to lightly wet it before spraying to try and keep the dust/dirt down to a minimum.

also, you can never have too much light, i say purchase a light fixture (4 foot florescent's) for every panel of the car and hang it above say panel on the ceiling, even have some facing on the sides of the car from the floor if possible.

that trick really depends on the floor type. say its a gravel/dirt floor, i wouldnt suggest wetting, but a normal concrete floor this does work temporarily.
