My new front bumper concept... but is it legal?

Hi,
Here's a concept picture of a modification to a stock 1995-1999 Cavalier front bumper I was considering, and mechanically I think it would be fairly easy:

Basically it's just sealing the standard Cavalier turn signal positions, blocking up the first two top rows of the grille opening and moving a new set of round (clear lensed) Sunfire GT turn signals lower on the bumper, to the sides of the newly narrowed opening. I'm not really worried about making the mods to the stock bumper, because it's more or less all fill-in, not cutting away from the structure underneath. My only worry is if the turn signals would be too low in the new position. There are legal height-above-ground requirements, but I'm thinking this would be OK because it's similar to the position of a 95-99 Sunfire GT's turn signal. I'm not really 100% sure though. Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter? I would appreciate any input you have. Thanks.

(p.s. I know the turn signal lights should be shown glowing yellow, but I just made it glow white to show what I mean. I was planning clear outer lenses with a set of those Pilot (?) chrome coated bulbs that glow yellow when they are on, but are silver when they are off.)

i don't see why not. it should be legal because the rk sport lip has openings for the 00-02 fogs even lower.

go for it.
i would still add a lip to that bumper IF you really want that bumper

i always wondered what an RSx front bumper would look like on a 95-99 cavalier.. mabe mold the lower rsx to the top of the cavi ? i think it would flow a bit. since both front come to a point.

but i do think you have somethin there with your designe.. i would go a little lower though. looks to high

the only thing that might be an issue i that you lost the front bumper lenses. the main reason their there to begin with is because the corner lenses to shine towards the frotn of the car enough. but then again, you run the same risk with most aftermarket bumpers for that car.

I did some more checking, and it just might be passable if I block up the grille openings at the very top row and the very bottom row, instead blocking up the top two. That would set the turn signals a bit higher than before.Otherwise I'd still be worried the turn signals would be too low to be legal. (The slightly higher position would be the same as where a 94-97 Honda Accord has it's front turn signal lights. I know: I measured it.) I wouldn't want to add anything to make the bottom of the bumper lower, because I live in an area where it's easy to scrape the lower edge against the road as you come out of various intersections. I hate that! I think I get your point, BoltZ. Moving the lenses from the corners of the bumper to a front-facing position may make it harder for others to see my intentions when I want to turn. That might be solved by adding a turn signal repeater on the bumper or fender sides, or even on the side mirror. I'll have to keep thinking about this. Thanks for all your input.
(p.s. I have to admit I also saw the similarity to an Acura RSX; and I thought, "Hmmm... what would that look like on a Cavalier?" Now I know. )
