Lambo doors, adj. issues????
Friday, November 30, 2007 12:25 PM
Hey all, my body guy said that I shouldn't put my lambo door kit on because they come out of adjustment often and it will ruin my paint job if the door and fender bind. Is this true? Do the lambo doors really come out of adj.? My fender is molded so I can't take it off. Thanks in advance!

You don't really believe that so many people here on the org who know so much about cavaliers would put lambo doors on their cars if it would mess them up do you?? Some people are just retards.. (not you) Anyways get them and have fun with them.. Just watch out for crappy built ones.. And there's a direct bolt on pack for our cars but i can't recall the name..

I've had lambo doors for several years with no issues.

The best method to install the doors is to use long cargo straps to wrap around both doors from side to side and encircling the car. This retains the current door alignment. Remove the front fenders, remove the stock hinges and bolt the lambo hinges in place securing them firmly. Replace the fenders. Remove the cargo straps and the job is done.

Alignment only becomes a problem if you try to remove the doors before installation or fail to retorque the bolts periodically.
