rust holes

ok my cavalier has two rust holes in front fo the back tire. would it b easier to get it fixed or just buy some sideskirts and do it that way or what would u recomend doing???

Covering it with sideskirts won't stop the rust from spreading. Have it fixed now, or you'll be dealing with a bigger rust problem in the future.

have the section of rusted body cutout past the rust line and a new piece of sheet metal welded in. only way to properly fix it really

since you said rust hole im assuming its all the way thru the metal. if thats the case then the area must be cut out and a new piece of metal welded in to stop the rust.

how much would i be lookn at if i did it with sheet metal??? the auto body guy told me he would have to re paint the whole side of the car on both sides is that true?

he is probably trying to blend it to make it match the rest of the car.

in theory, you would only need to have the entire quarter panle painted, and it should be able to be blended into the jam.

but im sure hes thinking paint both sides so he doesnt have to worry too much about blending. white is one of the harder colors to color blend

no he wouldnt have to paint both sides of the car. he would have to paint the area he patched and then blend the outter edges to the other paint. like joey said though, white is the hardest paint to work with.
