On the 1999 sunfire's it looks as if they have changed the body a little bit on the sides at the bottom of the doors and bottom of the rear quarter panel that they do not follow the same lines as the cavalier and older sunfire models. Now i was wondering if it is just pieces you could take off because it looks like they bulge out a bit right under where the side moldings are.... Any help would be appreciated i wish i could show a picture but my computer is being funny and not letting me load them on.. So does anyone know if they just changed the body a little bit or am i missing something??
I believe they are the same, the only things that changed on the fire is the rear lights in the 00+... Someone please correct me if im wrong, I have a cavy

I have a cavalier too.....but i found a great deal on a 1999 sunifre gt but my problem is that i dont really like the sunfires all too much. The front end swap would be no problem and i am no sure if the rear end swap can be done...I read the exterior FAQ and it says that it can not be done but i know i have heard of at least one person who had a cavy trunk lid on a sunifre..
You can't put a cavy trunklid on a sunfire WITHOUT custom work.. Body lines are not one bit the same back there

The Cavalier trunk will only work on Sunfire SEDANS. You can not swap between the Cav and Fire coupes. As for the sides being different, only thing that is different on the Sunfire GT is the side skirts/door skirts. Underneath it is exactly the same (this is why all side skirts are swappable between Cavs and Fires).
