Well I've put the stock headlights back on the car. beforehand, I wetsanded them for good measure. I did the set twice and my passenger headlight seems like it has a permanent haze. I'm afraid it's going to stay that way. What can I do to clear it up?

Welll......... you forgot an important step
you need to buff and polish them after you wetsand them
I'd have figured wetsanding would do it if anything would, but I can recommend a good polishing compound that
Meguiars makes. Cleared up my old stock lenses pretty well, though I do suspect some of the haze is on the inside now.

use an actual buffer and compound..... doing it by hand wont work
as mentioned ... PlastX will do the trick

It really does work well.

not if he already wetsanded them
I used to use PlastX and it sucked when i did the headlights on my Avenger. Then I tried using Mother Mag and Aluminum polish, worked MAGIC! I guess i'll have to wetsand these more than 5 times to get them even somewhat clear. *sigh*

the best fix for headlight haze is to wetsand then clearcoat them, if your concerned about long term use you might want to spray them with plastic adhesion promoter first.
I run a body shop & have been fixing headlights like this for years, it does work well.
99% of the haze problem is on the outside not the inside.
