Can anybody tell me if the bulb that lights up when I brake on the Toyota Cavalier tails lights is the same as the one I had it my OEM 2003 tails ?
The brake/turn light bulb, yes.
The 194 running light from the '03 doesn't get used though. The turn portion of the Toyos uses the same bulb as the brake which should be a 3157/variation.
the brake/running bulb is a 1197 i believe. i'm not sure what the 03 uses, but its different than my stock 2000 bulb.
both the turn and brake are 3157/3457
Sylvania's website states the 2003 Cavalier uses a 3057 Bulb for Brake/Turn signal. I checked bulb in my 2003 Cavalier and it was a 3057.
The Toyota tails use a 3457 bulb, GM sends the taillight harness and bulbs when you buy new taillights, I just happen to have a set of new 1999 Toyos and both Turn and Brake in the Toyota tails are 3457.
The only difference between 3057 and 3457 bulbs I believe is the light output. 3057 putting out like 402 lumen. 3457 putting our 503 lumen
Should be able to use 3057, 3157, 3357, 3457 if you have any laying around
well my 2000 + toyo tails must be different, its obviously this bulb here (the amber bulb in the picture, but clear) for the brake/running light (i dunno where i got 1097 from... its 7443)
the turn signal though is a 3057
