I'm newer a this stuff, so i dont know a whole lot about it but i am thinking of buying the racer body kit for my 2005 sunfire. Is this a good choice?
im not one who goes for a body kit, but based off the name im going to say that you have found a knock-off brand... where are you getting it from?? links? pics?
Well there are several main things to consider...
1. (this is the most important) Do you like this body kit? It's your car, your money, do what makes you happy.
2. Buy from a quality place. If I remember Extreme Dimensions carries the Racer Kit, and if it's the same as for the Cavy, which I think it is, then it's urethane which is a good choice if you are looking for durability. Also try Gravana Tuning, they are great to buy from as well. Search around the forums here, there are several "JBO Certified" vendors that a lot of us purchase from. Now if I remember (not 100% sure) but the racer front and rear aren't complete replacements for the bumpers, they are basically extended lips, and you may need to trim some of the stock bumper for proper fitment. If you're not comfortable doing that yourself, make sure you have a place to get the work done before you buy a kit. Also keep an eye on the classifieds section here, a lot members sell used kits for good prices.
3. NEVER buy Ebay body kits!!!! NEVER!!
The racer bodykit is from Extreme Dimensions. It is the knock-off version of the original Razzi kit. Personally I don't trust Extreme Dimensions since they use images of past jbo members with the Razzi kit as their product images. Also, the racer kit is made of "dura-flex" which ED markets as a plastic / fiberglass composite (glass-reinforced plastic aka fiberglass) with a flex compound added to it. The kit is
not a urethane body kit nor does it share the same flexible properties of a urethane kit. It is basically "flexible fiberglass".
Aside from that, the original Razzi kit is made of ABS plastic (the same material as your existing bumpers) and is applied over your existing bumpers.
ED version: $749.00 which does not include shipping
Razzi version: $975, that includes shipping
Choice is up to you and what you are willing to spend. For a couple hundred extra you can purchase the complete Razzi version.

In your opinion, where are the best body kits? like the sites and such. I have never done any mods to my car but now that i have a steady job i am able to do it. A body kit is my first objective. I am open to most. If you are framiliar with the bomber kit.. the rear bumper is something i do not like at all, and all the rear bumpers like it.
I would personally shop through
Gravana Tuning, which is a reputable company that many here including myself have purchased from. Extreme Dimensions is not a
bad company to purchase from as some here have gotten things from them before with no problems. Although if you do like the Razzi kit, personally, I would go directly through Razzi and get the ABS kit.
But just as a warning the ED kit is a plastic reinforced fiberglass body kit. It maybe slightly stronger than a traditional fiberglass kit, but I wouldn't trust it taking high impact hits repeatedly no matter what the ED's website video may depict.
Also, just in case you come across any of their kits or site, steer far away from Andy Auto Sport. Both their body kits and company management are very poor.
Just a list of 03+ kits on the market and their alternatives,
Bomex (originial) - Extreme Dimension's Bomber (clone) - Vision Auto Blazer (clone)
Razzi (original) - Extreme Dimension's Racer

i agree with rob and go with the actual razzi kit as i did its well worth it
^^ Steer FAR FAR AWAY from Andy's Auto Sports!!!!!
