Hey guys, my sister has a 2004 Sunfire and decided that it would look better without a drivers side mirror. She backed into a tree, and broke the mirror off. From what I can tell, there are 2 springs that held it on, both of which are now gone.
Is there anywhere that you can buy these springs without the entire mirror assembly? Or any other Macgyver-like solutions?
Thanks!
According to my fiance (GM Mechanic) you can't buy the springs separately unless you run out to a wrecker or something. If you're looking for GM stuff - you're looking at the whole assembly.
But going to a wrecker is always fun! You always find cool stuff!
It isn't worth the effort. Just spend the $30 and get a whole new assembly.

I have a spare driver's mirror assembly if you want to use the spring piece.
