A buddy at work has a 98 Z24 with bright blue headlights, there not the HID kit because you can see the bulb but they got to be brighter than 5000 kelvin. Does anyone know where i can get blue not white bulbs for my 98 sunfire. Thanks alot

since 5000 kelvin is a measure of COLOUR, i'm not sure what you mean by brighter? just get some silverstar ultras, or PIAAs. if you go with HID, for the love of all that is the j-body, use projectors.

Rich Grayo Jr.: why do you say if your going with HID's to use projectors?

Because, when placed in a regular housing w/o a projector lens, they are BLINDING.

Please don't do it. Other drivers will hate you. Cops will ticket you.

Kevin Richter is right get projectors for the car people get pissed when you blind them going down the road. I just went to UlitmateHIDKits.com to buy a set having them sent right now and after all the reading I have done found John Behman on here who retrofits projectors for you. I would definitely recommend the projector route and then get HIDs. It will save you money from the cops in the long run.

Right, an HID kit in a reflector housing will refract light everywhere.....especially a cheap kit.

there has been a lot of technology in HID kits, and you can see this in the more expensive models. Simple things like shields placed at the right location on the bulb cuts down on the glare oncoming traffic sees making them BETTER, but still a projector setup is the way to go.

The projector also evenly disperses the light to add to that definition. You'll still piss ppl off and get flashed with projectors but just not as often. Hell a cop flashed me last night lol And mine are WHITE. lol

I went projector/hid route. Got all of my stuff from John, excellent guy highly recommended. Check out the group buy thread last couple pages mine are posted in there of his work.
