If you are going to go through all the work of swapping out hoods, I reccomened giving it a slight angle and its easy!!! All you need is some nuts that fit the bolt for the hood mounts, just slip the nuts in between the hood and the mount. Depending on the amount of angle you want, just add more nuts or the best would be to put washers in. I did a 1/2" rear lift and it gives it the effect of a crawl style hood. I read about the idea in one of the tuner magazines, they did it to a car and tested the engine temps it ran a little lower (15-45 degrees). Like I said all it takes is some nut and washers. If you need help with getting the hood to fit right the hit me up.
PS you can raise the front height/angle by spinning the hood props that the hood sits on. If you raise it to much then the latch will NOT hook and you need to install hood pins.

It's "Cowl" hood. Not crawl.

The hoods that have been jacked like that look like ass IMO.

This is a cowl hood.

This is a hood that needs to be aligned.

Cowl hoods look good on muscle cars, misaligned hoods do not look good on any car.

No need to cry over spilt hoods and words, maybe counting to ten and breathing deep will help you relax somemore. What ever people like people like, next time just turn a check. I don't bash anyones like or dislikes I'm more then confident in myself not to get mad over little things like a inch of raised hood. And this style is for function not looks.
So be happy!!! Not Sad!!!
