So I installed the wings west w-type lips last year and have found the lips have started to pull off (the tape that comes on them doesn't seem to stick that well). For the front lip I ended up putting screws up through them to keep it on cause it had let go on one side. The front is holding well now but the sides are starting to let go and I ended up putting a screw through the bottom but you can see the pressure point of where the screw is in the side skirts. Then the rear is letting go where it curves around the rear bumper (mainly the drivers side). So I'm kinda wondering what people have used to get the lips to stick better. Not sure if there is much I can do about the rear lip on the bumper, may just have to try some new tape and hop it sticks better. Anyways, any help would be appreciated. If worse comes to worse I may end up sinking some screws in the lips and then fill the holes and paint the lips again, but that would be my last resort.
when i had my lip painted on the rear bumper. i had them mold it to the bumper!

i never had problems with the tape they included in the kit. I did have to screw the front/rear into the wheel wells, and i screwed the side skirts under the car, there is a flat piece that is about mid-way down the side skirt under the car that you should be able to screw, and not have any effect on the appearance of the skirts.
I did have problems when I had the stuff taken off, and I re-applied them with 3m stuff.
got 3m tape on my rear lip for a year an has been fine

yeah, i have never had an issue with the rear lip.
Maybe I can try some 3M tape and that will stick better. I have to get the rear panels and the doors re-painted so I can get the lips fixed/touched up then. Not sure if heating the rear lip up and then sticking it to the bumer would help it around the corners or not but it may be worth a try.
Im havin the same problem you seem to be having with just the side skirts. They won't stay to the side of the car. They screwed in on each end where they should be and underneath on the flat piece. But that isn't the problem its the side thats supposed to stick to the middle that isn't sticking! I even tried the expensive GOOD 3M tape lol A week later and it peeled and one side is hangin bad, the other not as bad but still is. If I can't find a solution to this soon I'm gonna screw from underneath into the metal. it's drivin me nuts. lol

Maybe the panels they where attached to werent prept(sp) right. ? I never had any issues with my Side skirts coming off and one was warped pretty goof when I went to install it
Prepped.
Ive never had an issue with 3M tape. Just make sure the surfaces are clean and it sticks.
I'm guessing on preparation too. Also which side of the side is peeling off? the side on the body kit or side of the car?
Take some alcohol prep wipes and wipe down the surface of the car that will be getting stuck to, now for putting 3M double sided tape on plastic 3M makes a little adhesion promoter to put on the plastic before putting the tape on. It makes so much difference, you can tell just by working with trying to get the tape onto the panel because the tape feels nearly like its glued to your fingers(that fingers you got the adhesion promoter on from the little pad) They are just little packets with a foam pad soaked in the adhesion promoter, i think the parts stores will have it, I know NAPA does.
Also for doing pieces that are literally held on by tape, like where the sides hit the 1/4 panel. Before you apply the pieces, make sure you heat up both the panel and the tape/body kit a bit with a heat gun or blow dryer. Another tip is to get some good masking tape(We use 3M Green or Yellow at my work so that is what we use for this) and basically tape the hell out of the panel to help assist the tape to properly adhere and hold. I like leaving it over night or even over the weekend sometimes if possible taped up.
I tried 3m tape on my 2 interior tubes for my underglow. It couldn't barely hold that. The only culprit I can think of is the cold weather not making it stick. Being clean helps too, but I believe it's way too cold to apply the stuff. Either that or I got some cheap knock off brand.

Has held up since.

Thanks for the info...may have to try that.

The skirt is letting go of the car. Hell I can get a pic if itll help lol It went well (2nd time mounting) in the beginning and then all it took was one hot day to that side of the car and it started to let go!
The other slide slowly followed, not as bad but y'know. I cleaned both the skirt and where its bein attached to well and correctly, still no luck, gonna try heat and the tape to hold it on approach, I just need time and a warmer day before it gets too cold and wet out to try again. Ill try and pick up some of that adhesion promoter as well, just tired of the skirts lookin like they're hacked on when technically they're not! lol Want them to sit the way theyre supposed to.
Thanks.

only thing i can think of is using adhesion promotor for the tape. but off topic here, anyone know where to get the front lip cheap? dont think I wanna pay 270 bucks for a lip
