Not sure if this should be here or maintenance, but I'll probably get an answer here faster.
So around my fuel cap, it is starting to rust. Its not horrible, just surface rust. Been there since I bought the car. I was just wondering about the best quick fix for it. Its not visible if the fuel door is closed, so it doesn't need look perfect, I just don't want it to spread. Would just sanding it down spraying it with a rattle can be effective? This seems like the obvious answer to me, but I but I'm definitely not the most knowledgeable person on the topic...
depending on the size of the rust, i would say sanding it all the way down as far as it will go, then puff can it. but i dont know a whole lot this is JMO
