I'd go with Ultra White for visibility but you can't go wrong with Luminics

Luminics are great... Can't go wrong. Ultra White will be your brightest... and the Pure Blues are REALLY blue!

I beg to differ. I would NEVER use Luminics bulbs again. When I pulled the set from SAAB recently, the bulbs had huge blisters in them right next to the filament as if they were about to explode. These weren't in any way minor either. They were huge bubbles right in the glass. Also the light output is very weak. Go with some higher quality bulbs.

Personally I think Luminics are great. I've had two sets and have had friends with sets and never any problems.

After having mine for 2 or so years.. Eh.. probably wouldn't do it again. Not bad for the price but they were nothing spectacular.. they have lasted though which can not be said for most..

Well, any suggestions of brands of bulbs to use? I would like the blue, but th white could be a possibility.

That sounds like a classic case of contamination on the bulb. Did you clean them before you put them in?

It could have been, but I'm always very careful with my bulbs and never touch the glass. Its also quite a coincidence that both the bulbs had the same sized blister in the same exact spot on each of them. I still think they were bad bulbs.

I recommend using Sylvania Silverstars. They're a little more expensive, but they produce the best light output and whitest light I have yet to see in a halogen bulb. And now they're offering a 12 month guarantee on them.

My most recent set I haven't been happy with. I have the utra whites and on rainy days there is little to no visibility with them but when the roads are dry there all right Not overly impressed with this set. I had a set of pure blues in my old 98 cav and they worked great, but in my 02 the exact opposite. I just went ahead and bought HIDs.

Just my .02

See here is the thing.. with "white" light you are at the point that the light is just making things show up, there is no definite tint of color as to if your headlights are shining on it or not.. where as with yellower bulbs, its more obvious what is lit up because there is a color difference.. get what i mean? Alot of people factor brighter which how much they can see on the road directly infront of them, the yellow is more noticable on the road then white so the white appears less bright. I can't say they were brighter then just regular bulbs though, mainly just different color which is what really most people only care about to look "cool" Its funny when people bitch about silverstars being a little yellow, its yellow for better light output, i was hoping for similar results with these but like i said, if i did it over again, I wouldn't buy them, there nothing spectacular and are exactly why i retro'd some blazer projectors for fogs and went with HIDs in the fogs.. that was the best improvement so far and wouldn't go back. Next thing is projector/hid in headlights

IF you can call em white light more like a light blue. I drive with the yellow hids in my fogs on most of the time now so it doesnt bother me. But like you said wouldn't do it again.

I recommend Silver Stars / Silver Star Ultras. Whatever you do DO NOT buy them at Auto Zone, Walmart, etc. Buy them on eBay. You will spend half the money, if not less, buying them on eBay. Case in point: I just bought two brand new sets of Silver Star Ultras for my '09 Vibe GT. They are $49.99 per pair at Auto Zone. I got two pairs for $64.00 including shipping on eBay. That's a savings of roughly $36.00.

I know it's not a Cavalier, but I have some pictures of regular Silver Stars in my Vibe on Car Domain. They are very bright and I have no problem seeing at night. I won't be using anything else anytime soon.
