not sure if this is in the right spot, but just wondering if anyone would not recommend sandblasting it?

why not? just make sure when your done you get all the sand (or whatever material your using) out of the baffles of the valve cover.

I have sandblasted 20+ valve covers, and as long as you plug all the right holes, and mask it very well, and flush it very well, you will have no problems.

plug both side of the wholes? and do i amsk off the bottom? and by flushing do you mean getting out the sand with water?
i was gonna do it by hand but i just started a job that has a sandblaster so i figuered that would be faster

if ur talking an eco valve cover, then plug the breather hole, and the oil cap hole, and tape over all the little holes on the baffle on the underside. u will still get sand in it NO MATTER WHAT. what then flush it with water for 15-20 minutes rotating the part every 3-4 minutes and ur good. i work in a full blown paint shop so its stupid simple for me.

if its your first time go to a place that does sandblasting and have them do it.. make sure you are take extra care around the threads. i found the best way to plug the holes is duct tape on both sides(multiple layers) and stuff the hole with part of an old rag
