A few annoying issues with my '00 Z24

My '00 Z24 has a couple minor issues that drive me NUTS.

I have to do a decent bit of highway driving. When I'm doing over 120 km/h or even at 110km/h or if a large vehicle goes by me, I get this high pitched squeaky noise. I thought it had to do with the sunroof, however I decided to push on the top of the windshield a wee bit while the noise occurred, and it seemed to go away.. It must be some sort of windshield seal. I guess the wind is coming around it?

Also, when I'm driving on the highway.. Only on the drivers side, I can hear wind rustling around the window seal I think... It sounds like the door is half shut when I'm on the highway.
I will get a picture of the drivers door around the B pillar, it doesn't look right.

Also the little rubber strip that runs across under the sunroof comes loose sometimes, can I just put some adhesive on it to keep it in place?

My doors drop a bit when I open them. From what I can see, there is no door pins on the J's... Do you have to buy new hinges to correct this? Are there any aftermarket ones available? Couldn't really find any. Is it better to get them from GM?

Any help would be great.

Have you checked to make sure that the door hinge bolts are tight and not loose causing the door to drop?
Open the door and lift it to see if there's any play in the door and go from there. This will at least tell you whether the hinges need tightening up or just a realignment of the door.

The issue you're having with the door seal and wind noise may have alot to do with the door not being aligned and sagging. This would cause you to hear (more so than normal) wind noise.

If you had a wind shield issue then you'd have a leak when it rains.
I've never heard of a Jbody windshield causing any issues with noise, leakage, or anything of that nature.

Good luck.

All three of my 2door cavaliers have required new lower doorhinges. I'm not sure if aftermarket hinges are available, but I've only every used GM. Retail price is about $88 or so. Support the door with a jack when changing the hinge, and have someone with you to help you wrestle and swear at it. Removing the inner fender liner will make it much easier to get at the inner bolts. A flex head ratchet wrench will also be your friend when doing this.

From what I can figure out, the drivers door was air wedged. The top part of the door stuck out past the B pillar a noticable amount, and the passenger side was flush. Both doors do drop when opened.

The B pillar plastic is also messed up..

I recorded a video on my Blackberry of the noise coming out of the windshield seal.. I'll see if I can pull it off my phone to show you guys. The windshield seal looks cracked and theres lil pieces missing. It doesn't seem to leak though. I've driven the car in the rain and snow. I've got some pictures of the door and the b-pillar, I'll grab them off my camera if I remember.
