I need fog/driving lights for my '00 Cavy....Sugestions??

The factory headlight setup for my year Cavalier leaves a lot to be desired. I've adjusted the projection and paid for adjustment and it still sucks. I do a lot of unlit country road driving and would love to have secondary lights to help with distant light projection. I've considered HID's but would rather have a set of white aftermarket driving lights that I can flip on/off from the cockpit. I have the base 2000 with the basic front bumper. As you can see I would need a low profile ' 1.00" to 1 1/2" higth to fit the only logical place, between the ribs.

I do NOT want to cut the plastic. Also can I mount them between the ribs and not have them vibrate too much?

Here is a style ' example only ' I could live with. Solid bar of light is ok too.

I don't want them blinding oncoming traffic. Thanks for any input....

Just get a Z24/LSSport front bumper and use the factory fogs.

its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa

Thanks for the idea. But I'd like to hear some ideas , hopefully from someone who has tried this on the same front ended Cavi.

Any fogs added to that front end will look out of place.

Z24 fog lights would be what I would do. If you are going to mount some lights like the ones pictured and are worried about vibration just put some foam around them and make sure they are snug.

Your also putting way to much thought into something that requires near to none.

Huh? You must be a really nice guy. Last time I checked these forums are for asking questions and sharing ideas. If you have nothing nice to say why post?

Just get a Z24 bumper and fogs. It will look cleaner instead of half assed.

Or you can go this route. It works, but isnt pretty.

Just be like the guy down the street from me. Stocks, and 6 aftermarket fogs. Nothing he can't see at night.

What I said wasn't mean. It's simple fogs are designed to be fogs, unless you are converting them to HIDs heat will not be an issue. Unless you use stock fogs they will look out of place. Therefore you have two decisions 1. What type of fogs 2. where to locate those fogs.

You are putting a lot of thought into a subject that doesn't require it again 2 steps.

I don't come on here to @!#$ with people I come on here to help and share info. If you took it the wrong way well, you did. IMO what I stated is advice.

Well, you could always buy my daytime running lights. Yes they are the real kind that are used on Audis and Mercedes cars unlike the ones in the sample pic you posted that are found at local auto stores. If it was legal Id only use them to drive at night cause they really are bright! I have my fogs installed on my car and dont want to clutter the front with lights so the DRLs are just sitting around. PM me if you're interested and I'll cut you a deal.

If u use a set similar to factory ones you can trim the cross bars around them and mount them like this. I had them on one of my old cars
