thinking of trading or selling 2003 Cavalier

I'm not sure how much it would go for. Honestly it's no looker, just bondo'd the front end and hood. Mechanically, it's beautiful, never has an issue. Biggest thing I did aside from the poor excuse for a body is replace both rear struts. It's got 57k miles, the first 23k were summer only, then I bought it and drove it in the brutal cny winters. I replaced the hinges a few days ago and I'm working on the latches now.
My question is, if you'd be so kind as to provide input, how much might it be worth in its current shape?
Depending in how brutal your responses are, I may finish bondo'ing and paint it.

Could this possibly be moved to the North East regional forum?

I say 1,200 dollars... On a good day. It looks terrible. No offense or anything. I also assume it is a bit eat up from the winter salt and then the rust that comes in later. What happened to it? It needs the driver door replaced in my opinion. Paint and rust repairs is also needed on the lower part. If you got the car put back together... maybe 3,000... Maybe. It does have some pretty low miles.

The guy who owned it before me put a body kit on there that fell apart the winter before last. I know it wasn't the best choice in car to buy for this area, but it was beautiful, 23k miles, ran great (still does), couldn't pass it up for 4500. The blue is from a 2002 cav at a junk yard, it actually was in nice shape, but last winter some guy decided to sail through a stop light, i bounced off if him, his brand new dodge ram 2500 had a little scratch on it anyway I told him to just leave, it was a horrible night, no one could see anything and the cops were occupied, cars off the road every few blocks... @!#$ happens. there's actually minimal rust except for the body. I can... bondo, or get new bumpers/fenders/hood/doors/trunk hatch, replace both doors (mainly cause i'm having a very difficult time getting the latches out of either lol), and get her painted i guess. I don't know as i'd want to see it go after all that though...

Id guesstimate $1000. It looks rough but if you get someone who has connections at a body shop they might be willing to pay more for it.

I can't believe a car's appearance is worth that much. It's baffling to me really. I mean I understand it, people care a great deal about how things look rather than how things work, but still. I'm not complaining, I kinda want to maybe get into body work at some point, now's a good a time as any to start, have people to oversee and help so it doesn't turn out looking worse than it does now.

Here's a craigslist posts for 2003 Cavaliers from this area and I don't think any of them have as low mileage as mine. All between 3k and 7k.

Appearance is worth that much.. because proper body work and paint costs an arm and a leg!! So if you don't have to do that work, it's cheap to fix. Mechanically... I can get a good running motor for $300. But a good paint job is going to cost waaaay more than that.
