Oh boy, So i screwed up. First let me start off by saying I will be using my tow hitch to use a rack to haul my bikes on vacation, so issue of overload is not here.
I had a friend pick up a tow hitch for my car from where they live which was close to the seller. I got it a few days later, and this thing isn't a bolt on unit. I've been reading here for a few hours, and cant find pics of install's that are still good. Anyway, this hitch is one where you drill into the spare tire well and into the bumper, but I don't see how I can get to the bolts if I drill a hole into it. Is there anyone who has done this? the hitch is a Putnam Hitch Products hitch. I've found that the company went through bankruptcy. I cannot get ahold of the guy to return it, so I'm stuck with it, so I"m trying to make it work. PLEASE POST SOME PICS!!! This is not a hitch that bolts up to the frame rails.
