Alternative Fuels for J's?

Hey guys,

Seeing as gas prices are going up and up (3.83$US/gal(us) here in Toronto) most of you are probably fed up and so am I. I have begun to look into possible alternative fuels for my car or looking into buying a new car. I have not seen a CNG Cav here but I know they exist so it will be hard for me to find one so I'm going to purchase one. Instead I'am interested in a propane system. Propane is cheap and burns very clean, I heard it gives better mileage than gasoline. Does anyone think putting in a propane system in a cavy will be a good idea?

E85 conversions (computer reprogram) are also available but I don't have any E85 stations around... I can make my own... Google it!

Diesel (not for Cavalier) can be run with Veggie oil (i have access to veggie oil) http://www.dieselsecret.com/?gclid=CI3hl_nd_YsCFRPdPgodpSCHyg

Water - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIgOn1kRw5s&mode=related&search= - this guy invented a new process for electrolysis and put it into his car, there are other videos on youtube about water fueled cars. This man died in a diner, some say he got poisoned by the oil companies. Maybe I should mess around and make a system and throw into my cavy then sell it or make a business out of it... lol

So what other ideas do you guys have?

I did a water-fueled engine project for my advanced physics class in high school. My engine, however, was only a 5cc rotary model airplane engine. I never could figure out a way to produce enough hydrogen on demand to run anything much bigger than that. I tried it on the 180cc engine on my go-kart but could only run it for a few seconds before it ran out of gas.

I was using straight DC voltage for the electrolysis in my projects. After reading some of the stuff about Stan Meyer's fuel cell design, molecular resonance electrolysis is an interesting concept that I had never considered. I'm not 100% convinced that it would produce enough hydrogen to make it viable, but it would be interesting to find out. I have some test gear, a frequency generator and a linear amp that "should" work in that frequency range, so I'll see what happens when I dip it in some water...If I don't post again, you'll know I blew my ass up.

What does this entail. My area just open 3 stations with e85 and i also just watched a report from my local news.

If you check this site.....

http://www.e85fuel.com/e85101/flexfuelvehicles.php

You can see which cars can run it.

Now the thing I don't get from that site

5.3L Vortec-engine Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon and Yukon XLs

2.2L Sonoma GMC pickup 2WD

Wasn't the 2.2L in thoses trucks the same or very similar to the 2.2l in the jbodies?

As far as gas and water, google "Gunnerman", there is a lot of info there and it does work, the drawback is lower mileage and reaction with aluminum parts.
Another additive that does look to be working for me is adding 100% pure acetone to your gas at about 2 oz per 10 gallons...it raises the octane and does appear to have added 2 to 3 m.p.g. according to my ScanGauge II on my old 96 Cav Coupe 2.2L 5 spd 135,000.

I've been thinking about the E85 thing myslef. I already know my car won't run on it right know though (I wasn't paying attention at the pump). We used to have a lot of CNG trucks in the military (staff cars mostly) and they ran like crap, you hardly couldn't even drive them up on a lift most the time. Personally, I'm praying that someone comes out with a car that runs on PFM sometime soon.
