I cant stress how many idiots are doing this thing called tray sliding.... its dangerous not to mention very unhealthy on your car. Not surprising 90% of all videos of tray sliding i have seen involve, you gueeed it a j-body(not saying its cause its a J). Anyway this started on youtube when some idiot took some Mcdonalds tray and started sliding around. Since then everyone been copying. Loook at these complete FOOLS!
Opinions?
Complete Idiots! - Search youtube you will find tons of dumb @!#$.
It is kinda dumb, but it's really no different that what I, and everyone else I have ever known, has done on fresh snow.

o well i didnt think when you were on the snow you had your friend on the hood holding on to dear life... as well in video?
I did that back in HS in my Cav. Damn, prolly the best fun in the Cav I've ever had. The G's you get is amazing. Throws you back in the seat so far lol. We did it late at night in an empty parking lot. I still have a vid of it somewhere. Not sure how you think it is dangerous or unhealthy for the car...
*edit* Just saw the vid with the person hanging onto the hood. Now THAT is stupid. That was never part of the "orginal" tray sliding that began looong ago.

tray sliding has been around almost as long as the cavalier has... it's nothing new. it is very unhealthy for your car, cause the tray isn't indestructable. once that tray gives out, if you're sliding hard enough, a tire can catch and completely mess up your suspension or wheels. this topic has been covered quite a bit. as for having someone holding onto the hood of the car while trying that... wow. natural selection doesn't work quickly enough.

flat spot the wheels, yes...... mess up the suspension, only if you hit a curb.....
I've never done it.

Well we went all out. We bolted 3 McDonalds trays together with a piece of plywood that the tire sat on. No worries about it wearing through to the tire. The bolts even added a cool visual effect with the sparks. Haha, we were young and dumb at the time, but it wasn't dangerous.

have you seriously never seen this before??
i wont do it in my car, but i have been known to do it with a couple friends hondas and such.
havent done it in years though, ever since i quit taco bell, where the trays wuz free.
Reminds of back in 2001 with a saturn rental car, I've been tray slidin since most of you bitches were in diapers.
The OP needs to STFU and get a clue.
edit cause I can: A quick search on youtube reveals that is definitely less than 50% Jbodies in these videos

hmm no i have seen tray sliding..... but i have never seen someone stupid enough to tray slide and have there friend hang on to the hood at same time
It'd be fun to be the driver of the car, but not the person hanging on. Actually it looks like he is having fun, but still. Good Idea? NO.
Watch the one with the 94 Grand Prix that hits the curb while tray sliding
Did I mention I drive a 2000 Lumina now?-----wigm-tuners.org member
I have done it, we used 2 trays each tire to keep from getting to the tire and wearing it. Was fun, but can be very dangerous!!

Did it with my first J, haha, tons of fun.
