I'm in Vancouver, BC... and I don't have a clue about shops in NC...
The safest bet of you is to take the car to a GM Dealer. It my cost a little more but the job will be done right.

HAHA thats not always the case. when i had the side of my car painted at my GM dealership because of an accident they did a real @!#$ty job of it. you can see all the sanding marks downt the side of the car cause they didnt go high enough on the paper. the paint is staring to peal at the edges, and there were door ding marks wher the paint chiped on the edging of my rear door that the didnt botheer sanding out. i went there and threw a fit and they tried to tell me they didnt do it. and that i must have had my car REPAINTED at another shop. all because i waited a week. i was like WTF. ill never trust a stealership again. complete BS
*UPDATE*
So now the deal is the car was having over heating problems.
Now its sitting cause i am afraid to run and i really need help with this.
I started it up to warm it up and i heard a tapping sound, it wasn't that
bad and it went away after about 2 minutes.
Then when i get to where i go after about 10 mins of driving there was a big pool of oil
underneath my car and and there is oil spray under near the power steering pump.
Will a head gasket do this?
And what could be the tapping sound?
Also would i just be better off to replace the whole friggen engine with a lower milage one or how easy would a 2.4 would be to drop in. is it direct cause thats what i am looking for. i just gotta get this dam car running right. don't care about performance right at all. just looking for the less painless way to do this
You need to find a shop with a good rep. to take it to (ask around). Some shops will give you a free or minimal chg. estimate. Once you know what's wrong, you can make the call.
