injector 3 control circuit

Hey guys. I have another thread, but the title is not really relevent to my new situation, so this one should be a little more helpful. I've notice my car has been missing, accelerating very poorly, and running extremely rich. I just ran the codes and I got one for a cyl 3 misfire and one for the injector #3 control circuit. Does that mean that I have a short in the wiring for my injector? Or is there a faulty part that must be replaced?

my guess would be that the injector itself is bad

Make sure the harness is plugged in tight. It is possible it worked loose. Unplug it, and plug it in all the way nice and tight. If still misfiring, suspect bad injector.

awesome. thanks guys. I'll give it a shot this afternoon. I'm going to start looking for some injectors in the classifieds. If the harness just worked its way loose I would be ecstatic

Well I switched injector 3 with injector 4 in hopes that I would get a code for cyl 4. Instead, now I am throwing a p0300, which is random/multiple cylinder misfire. I noticed that the exhaust seemed a little white also, kinda like when I used seafoam in the gas, but not as extreme. I am now guessing it probably isn't the injectors. Anybody have any other ideas? I'm thinking about checking the cat, but its currently welded on, so thats going to be a pain in the ass.
