Okay guys I just finished my eco swap and the motor runs good but I cant get a reading on the dipstick. I put 4 quarts of oil in it and the dipstick is bone dry and the oil light is on. What could cause this? I only ran it for a few seconds because of this and I dont want to start it anymore untill i can figure this out. Any suggestions?
Ecotecs take 5 qts of oil...

X2, and the light should go away once it builds oil pressure.

But it will be bone dry untill I get to 5 quarts?
And the oil light coming on when it builds pressure makes sense, i just thought I should be getting something on the dip stick.
Not at 4 quarts you won't!
