car will crank but won't start.

ok last saturday i went to the store and on the way back when i would attempt to stop it wanted to stall out. well it did when pulled into mr.z's store. so when i came out it started right up. and that was when it started to try and stall out. so the next day which was sunday a family member needed to use my to go to work.it started right up. but the gas was a little low but the check gauges light just came on.so as soon as i pressed the gas pedal it stalled out and attempted to start but wouldn't. so i thought it was because there was not enough gas to started up. so the next day i went and filled up a gas can and put it my car and it started right up, but as soon as i went to press on the gas it would stall out and it doesn't want to start. all it does is crank and crank and crank. now yesterday i put a new battery and fuel filter in in and it just cranks and cranks and cranks and just won't start.

Turn the key to on and listen for the fuel pump whine coming from the rear of the car, it should prime for about 3 seconds. If you can't hear it, I would try swapping the AC and fuel pump relays under the hood and see if that fixes it, if so, replace the relay, if not, your fuel pump is likely bad.

i might try the fuel pump/relay idea. my cav just had the same problem a few weeks ago. it would crank want idle then die. after checking relays and replacing my fuel filter i found out it was the fuel pump after all. oh yeah, check your fuel pressure. you should have a valve to do so on your fuel line going to your fuel rail. hope for the best!!!
