Ok so my Stepmom has a 96 Z24 and the driverside headlight is alot dimmer then the passenger side, the lowbeam and highbeam, I have pretty much narrowed it down to a bad connection and I think it it's from the ground.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if it is a ground did you guys just run a new ground? I have a 2nd gen Cav so the headlight harness is a little confusing, does anyone have a wiring diagram they could post up or send me, or atleast know which wire is ground and positive on the pin out from the connector, that would be awesome thanks guys.
Oh yeah I checked the bulbs lol and they are fine I swapped them over to the passenger side and they work fine.
Anyone? does anyone know what the ground is on the headlights? does it sound like a ground issue? there is no black wire going to either bulb on the driver or passenger side? I'm kinda clueless at this point, I checked the wires coming from the low beam to the relay and they are good highbeam same thing, if you guys need any more info let me know
Has no one honsotly had this problem before, I have herd from so many people that 3rd gens have problems with the wiring harness across the bumper rail rot out, thank god I have a 2nd gen lol I am happy I don't have to worry about this issue.
But honsotly what can I do to fix this? no one knows on here?
Very Common in the cavs and sunfires. Did you check behind the bumper? Usually power or ground wire is broke.
Ok guys so a year has gone by, and I'm back visiting my dad and stepmom, well her headlight has completely given out, I really don't want to look for the bad connection because I did last year and it never came up, I'm sure I should find it now, but I just want to run new wires for, now where can I find a wiring diagram that will show me where the wires run from the headlight and go to? any help would be greatly appreciated!
