well last night on my way back from the store as i was pulling into my drive way when my CEL light came on
. My car is basically stock all it has is a cold air intake and a muffler delete. The car runs fine except for what feels like a slight loss of power
. Now today in the morning i went to my local auto zone to scan the car but to my surprise they dont rent out the OBD II scanner anymore so i headed back home but as i was heading back home a was frustrated so i was pedal to the metal. As i pulled into my driveway again the light came off
. i am stumped. my guess is that its either my o2 sensor or my cat. any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks
go to another auto store thats weird I didn't know auto zone stopped doing it. Usually they just go outside and hook it up then watch and see. I have had random cels usually I just unhook the battery and let it sit and wait to see if it comes on later. If it is a slight loss of power you are probably imagining it non the less go have another store check it out.

you basically replace the muffler with a piece of pipe in my case a 2.25 inch pipe. dont ask me why i did it i just like the sound it makes..
they got use to it. i have had a loud car since i was 16. my loudest car was my evo VIII with a ported manifold aftermarket 02 housing 3" downpipe test pipe and cat back all with no resonators or muffler basically straight pipe!!!
ok so i pulled the code and it gave me a P0113. Intake air temperature circuit high input. I just recently installed the CAI. Can someone please let me know what this means? Thanks
did a quick search and i came up with checking the connections on the sensor itself and the pcm or replacing the sensor. will check now!
Typical problem with air intakes of all types. Sometimes we forget to plug them in or possibly even break them when installing them.
can i ask u something? why r u driving a cavalier if u hav an evo? if i had an evo i would never drive my fire! lol
