how long would it take to swap out an ln2?
i am looking @ buying another cavalier with a 5 speed and the ln2 2.2 but the car has 217,000 miles and is in need of some loving care
list of things i can see off hand that would need to be replaced
motor, he stated breaks but from the looks of the vehicle a whole lot more he is only asking $675 for it and i may jump
5 speed manual
here is a picture of the inside of the car looks like maintance was not on the top of his list...
the motor
i'll be paying attention to this, cuz i'm gonna swap mine out for a built engine to handle some boost, although i'm gonna do the 2200...wonder how diff' it is. taking it out should only take up to four hours though if you're not guessing i would assume(experience i'm sure would help, haha). my goal is gonna be to have the old engine out, and new one(once it's built) in along with a new alternator, belt, and all new fluids, and all new ignition parts in a day, a weekend at most(but i'll be really happy if i can get it all done in a day)
i have swapped out v8's and that only took 2 hours from start to finish that was rear wheel and not emission controlled
would it be worth it to buy the car?
my current cav'y cost me about $2k to fix it up from the time i bought it with 116,000
any kind of delays you may see with this vehicle pictured heres the link to the post
