where is the purge valve black box located on a 2.2 4 dr..replaced gas cap still throwing code of 440 moving on little by little

I could be thinking of something else and if I am please excuse me...

I belive its just behind the front passenger side bumper and fender next to the computer.if you look at the pic f your car above its dirrectly below your corner light and behind your bumper light.. IF im thinking of the right thing..

how'd you come along, mine has been throwing that code too, I belive it is behind the tank still looking into it, not very familiar with this

Still has code but my friend a certified mechanic and myself bieing a a auto painter figured out how to kinda trick the system to get mine to pass emmisions test

Same Code.. Bought the purge valve, where did you find it on the car?

hmmmm not sure if it helps but my 2.4 it is pass side of the engine, front, down between the alternator and intake manifold. Has a blue pigtail with the red safety clip

my 97 2.2L 2 door, the evap canister is located under/behind the passenger headlight.

2 13mm bolts to remove the headlight assembly, and it's right there. just replaced some vac lines on mine today...
