I'm preparing to do an engine change in a 1999 Sunfire. Is it easier,to remove the transaxle and motor as a complete assembly or seperate the engine from transaxle and remove them individually ?? My Haynes manual isn't to clear on the subject. Thanks.. ED
Taking the engine out by itself is okay if it is an auto or manual. However, getting the engine back in with a standard is easier to hook everything together then pull it all up from the bottom. Putting engine back in with auto is okay from top.
